I might have found a possible solution to vive controllers not able to move problem. I used a space-drag function from OVR Advanced Settings utility, yes, it's kinda slow, but still, I was able to move around using a vive controllers. The only issue been a tutorial, looks like none of the buttons will not work, until it's completed. I hope a solution to this problem will be found soon, because, damn I love the original game and my vive set
Strange. That's how I tested the PC version with my Quest 2 and it worked... Maybe try restarting your computer and changing your default XR runtime to oculus.
I believe the problem is the game is only reading from joysticks for moving and turning, not trackpads. I may upload a fix at some point in the future, but I'm too busy to make that fix as of now.
Maybe look to see if you can set controller bindings in the SteamVR menu. Let me know if you figure out a solution!
The issue was the runtime, cause I switched from oculus to pure SteamVR it still had the wrong runtime. Thank you for suggestion and for the VR adaptation! It was amazing
Sadly one of the biggest cares is kind of ruined in this version. And other things are WAY better than the original. Sad for me.

On your way to the first "fish foto" your proximity marker doesn't trigger. And in the foto where the fish appeares for the first time he doesn't dissapear when you take a second photo. Stopped playing at that point because it sort of ruins the entire scare of the game imo.
My biggest issues with this game where: Buttons used to move the sub where very finnicky and hold an arm out on them for majority of the game was a bit tiring. When crashing and loading the recent save I would spawn outside the sub, falling and respawning inside until I moved myself into the sub. Other then that I had a blast with this experience, thank you!

Hey, i'm having the same issue! I'm on the latest build, also running it on a Quest 1 (sideloaded the apk from itch and not sidequest if that makes a difference)
I attached an image of the bug in action. I guess Socks has the same issue as i do, since whenever i take a picture i just get a black screen in return, no matter if i take it at random places, when im near an artifact or when i found one
Love your port tho! Hopefully you can fix this issue sometime :)

any way to get this to work on quest 2 without pc?
May be a bit late, but you can just use sidequest or the mobile vr studio app to install the apk file strait to your quest no pc needed.

I'm on a quest 2 with virtual desktop, whenever I open the game it's just a black screen. any fix for this?

Are there any additional steps to launch this on SteamVR?
Cause just unpacking and launching it does not seem to work.
What HMD do you have?
Valve Index
It should be as simple as launching the app with SteamVR open and an HMD plugged in. I know people with Valve Index that have played.
Make sure that SteamVR is set as the default OpenXR runtime. Try running the app from inside the headset. Those may work. Let me know :)

It's the same everytime.

Are you using SteamVR or Oculus runtime?
I’m running standalone on quest 1 by sideloading the APK. Everything works fine up until I try to take a picture

You can side-load the app using side quest. Download the . APK and look up how to side-load using side quest :)
